The Black Business Crawl concept is simple – find an area that’s saturated with black owned businesses, take a group of your closest friends, walk down the street and spend a few dollars in each establishment.
If the businesses in your city are not within walking distance, change your Crawl to a Drive. If you are having difficulty finding black owned businesses in your city, reach out to your local Black Chamber of Commerce or Church, and start a list. Once your list is of considerable size, schedule your first Crawl.
The Black Business Crawl is a demonstration of our commitment to our economy and the advancement of the black community. Supporting the businesses in our community is an easy way to become a part of the solution.
We have scheduled our first official Black Business Crawl on August 27th, on Peter’s Street in Atlanta. We are starting at 6:30pm at Bludso’s, and crawling until we reach Cloud IX. Along the way, we are expecting to visit up to 14 businesses.
If you are not in Atlanta, please consider organizing a similar event in your city. We’re happy to give you a formula to ensure all aspects of the event are addressed.
